Float Participant Rules

SAFETY REQUEST
We want to have a happy and safe parade. As a result, please DO NOT “THROW” candy from your float. We don’t want any excited children (or adults) running out into the path of the parade vehicles and getting hurt. If you want to give out candy, etc. then please have volunteers walk at the side of the parade and hand the candy out directly to the people. If you do ‘throw’ candy and if someone gets hurt you will be considered liable. Thank you
Notice to all Parade Float Registrants (registrants must notify your participants)
Please ask your float participants to be at your float at, or before 12:00 noon. After 12:00 noon all roads near the arena will be restricted to ‘FLOATS ONLY’. NO passenger cars will be allowed access near the arena to ‘drop off’ float participants.
Each year parade volunteers are approached by upset parents who want to drive their child right up to their respective parade float. Please do not expect this, and instead walk to your parade float from a distance far enough away that you won’t interfere with the extensive parade set-up traffic that is a problem each year.
